This policy explains what information kristystephens.com collects when you visit, how it is used, and the choices you have. I keep data collection to what is needed to run the site and understand how it is used.
Information I collect
- Contact form. If you send a message through the Contact page, I receive the details you enter, such as your name, email address, and message. I use this only to reply to you.
- Analytics. This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use it, for example which pages are viewed, how long visits last, the type of device and browser, and approximate location (city or region). This information is collected through cookies and is reported to me in aggregate. It is not used to identify you personally.
- Security and server logs. Like most websites, the site and its hosting provider automatically record technical information such as IP address, browser type, and the time of a visit, to keep the site secure and working.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. This site uses cookies set by Google Analytics and cookies needed for the site to function. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (opens in a new tab).
How information is shared
I do not sell or rent your personal information. Information is shared only with the service providers that help run this site, such as my web host and Google (for analytics), or when required by law. How long information is kept
Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to respond and follow up. Google Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings in Google Analytics, after which it is deleted automatically.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information you have sent me through the contact form. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under local law.
Links to other sites
This site links to other websites, such as LinkedIn. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and I am not responsible for their practices.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
