Content Curation & Marketing

Developed a Learning Management System Homepage Content Strategy and Scalable Intake Process

Content · Process · Marketing

Overview

The learning homepage had become stagnant and ineffective. Content was rarely updated, learners struggled to find relevant programs, and most Team Members only accessed the LMS for required training. There was no structured way for program owners to request homepage features or curated learning content.

I led the effort to transform the homepage into a dynamic, user-centered experience by establishing a repeatable content strategy, building SharePoint-based intake systems, and curating learning features targeted to global audiences.

The Challenge

  • Homepage content was rarely refreshed and lacked relevance
  • Learners did not engage with the LMS except for mandatory training
  • No intake process existed for program owners to request homepage features
  • No editorial calendar or prioritization framework

The homepage needed to become a reliable, engaging entry point that surfaced the right content at the right time.

Approach

My approach focused on process, communications, and partnerships. I built a sustainable content strategy, created intake systems using SharePoint lists and metadata, and curated learning content across multiple platforms to support global audiences.

01

Built a Weekly Homepage Content Strategy

Led weekly content planning for the LMS homepage, selecting and prioritizing high-visibility learning features for three distinct global audiences. Developed an editorial calendar, ensured content rotation aligned with business priorities, curated learning content, and maintained a dynamic, engaging homepage experience. This transformed the homepage from a static page into a strategic communication channel.

02

Created a Repeatable, Seamless Editorial Process

Established a consistent workflow for weekly homepage updates: Intake → Prioritization → Content Curation → Design → Review → Publishing → Review. This process ensured the homepage remained fresh, relevant, and aligned with learner needs week over week.

03

Built SharePoint-Based Intake Systems

To streamline requests and improve transparency, I created two SharePoint solutions. A Homepage Feature Request System which allowed program owners to submit feature requests with status tracking and clear visibility into upcoming features. A Learning Program Curation Intake Form which captured program owner needs for curated learning content, standardizing intake and reducing back-and-forth communication. These systems created operational clarity and improved collaboration across L&D.

04

Curated Learning Content Across Platforms

Curated learning collections and paths in LinkedIn Learning and the LMS, and created custom documents. This ensured Team Members had access to relevant learning materials tailored to their roles. The collections and paths were also used as targeted homepage features.

05

Designed Homepage Features Using Professional Tools

To elevate the visual experience and ensure brand consistency, partnered with an external agency to design the homepage assets using Photoshop, Figma, and Webflow. This improved brand consistency and increased learner engagement with featured content.

Results

  • Homepage engagement increased due to consistent, relevant updates
  • Learners began accessing the LMS for discovery, not just required training
  • Program owners gained a structured, transparent way to request features
  • SharePoint intake systems improved operational efficiency and reduced friction
  • The editorial calendar ensured predictable, high-quality weekly updates
  • Learning content became more accessible, organized, and audience-specific
  • The homepage became a reliable communication channel for learning programs
